Don't you love when you find some of your old resources? I was trawling Google Drive for something last week and came across lots of my old rhymes which I used to compose and use when I taught infants.
I've popped the Winter / Christmas themed ones into a file - feel free to download a copy and make use of them with your own class. Some may be of use to you in the run up to Christmas, but also in January too.
Each are suitable for Infants - 2nd...or even beyond if you want to use them as a guide for some poetry writing or text innovations. Most of these can be performed as action poems - which always increases engagement, aids with memory and recall of the text - and adds to the playful factor.
